Default None of the accessory outlets stay in when ignition off?!

I was rather surprised to find that not even the trunk accessory power outlet will stay on when the vehicle is locked up and as far as I can see from the fuse box there is no alternative position for the outlet fuse to give it continuous power like on many other vehicles (like my Jeep that I loved!).

I’m genuinely surprised (and annoyed) at this seeing how it’s marketed as a lifestyle vehicle. guess what Land Rover, we sometimes need to power stuff even when the ignition is off.

Like like I will now have to hard wire my own power socket in to the battery (I hate being forced to do that) in order to run my portable fridge when I’m parked up (don’t worry, at under 1amp of draw it won’t flatten my battery if I leave it on for a few hours, and will turn itself off in any event if the battery voltage drops below 11.5v)

Wow. My RR l322 still provides power while ignition turned off.

Too many people have flattened batteries and not able to start. So these days they are usually all off. Easy to add an aux socket that's always on it you want.

I can appreciate the flat battery risk it presents for LR.
However I’d like an alternative position in the fuse box like other brands so I can take the responsibility of an override. Now I have to go messing with adding my own socket and wiring which is the worse of two evils imho as it encourages dangerous “ghetto” wiring.

You can identify what really powers those and remove the relay and jump the circuit with a thick gauge wire with 2 male tabs attached to it.
