Interestingly I’ve had no email from Land Rover (I assume it goes to the InControl account) and I checked for the update this morning when I got into the Disco using the home WiFi connection and it said the software (19A) was up to date.
i then connected it to my cell phone which I use as a hotspot and not 5 minutes later as I was on my commute to work a popup told me 19B was available and I could download it while driving and that it would update on shutdown. I let it do that and by the time I got to work it had finished the download and I shut it down. Presumably it will show 19B when I get in to go home...

I just thought it was interesting that I have received no email and also that it wasn’t showing as available when I checked via home WiFi but minutes later it changed its mind and said it was...

I haven’t used the truck since last Friday so I don’t know when exactly it might have become available. I also don’t generally bother with having it online via the cellphone hotspot while driving but I did start doing that last week. So I’m guessing they made it available to me sometime between last Friday and today.

I rec'd the e-mail yesterday - almost 10 days after the update was actually done. My dealer stated that they are doing things in batches and not all vehicles at once.

I've now had two OTA updates (one was two days ago). Neither time did I get an email from LR, just a notice on my screen that one was available.

In fact this last update I was able to do during my commute over 3G with no hiccups.

And 19B was indeed installed when I got in the Disco to drive home...

It would be nice if they made some notes as to the improvements and/or changes each update brings.....Just sayin....

Friday when I stated my Discovery up I got a message I could update OTA to 19B. Worked fine.
I was on 18.

What’s new in the update? I don’t see any reason to do it for me

I went from 18C to 19B OTA.
So missed a few inbetween. Reliability with Carplay seems to be the biggest thing I have noticed. I can remote start and then use carplay. Before if I remote started , I would have to shut it off and on again for Carplay to work.
I have also unplugged and replugged without stopping/starting the car and carplay will work.
I read all the release notes and didn't see anything exciting. Looks the same.

Maybe some of the Carplay issues were actually helped with IOS 13? I don't know, hand't used remote start since last winter. Used it this week for the first time since it is cold now. But went from 18C to 19B and IOS 12 to IOS13 since I last used it.

The remote start and CarPlay issue was fixed in 18D or 19A, I forget...
I know on 19A I was getting a slight pop from the speakers every time a song changed from one to another when streaming music from the iPhone, that has gone in 19B.
i also had an issue of occasionally getting no audio at all until I turn the car off and leave it a few minutes and try again. That happened a lot on 18C but was better on 19A although still happened very rarely. So far on 19B I haven’t had that problem. I also have had no glitches with ability to select various cameras as I did on 19A or even having the Disco itself be missing from the 360deg screen resulting in a black blob. So far anyway.
They are definitely getting better with each release.
