Default Proud Rhino A-Bar

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have experience with the Proud Rhino A-Bar for the D5? Not only use but also installation? Easy to install? Thanks. -Matt

i just finished the install of the A bar, hidden winch mount, winch, and bash plate last month. It was a bit interesting but can be done at home. Please be aware that the brackets for the A bar appear to have been updated. each bracket is now two parts that bolt together in the middle. I found that I could not reattach the bumper cover with both brackets in place so I needed to remove just the outer portion of one, install the cover, and then reach in to the bumper cover to attach the rest of the bracket. A bit tight and I needed a short wrench to be able to fit in there beside the winch.

looks great!! If just installating the A bar, do you still need to remove the bumper cover?

Thank you! Sadly yes that bumper cover needs to come off (Even called Erik at LKY8 to verify). If you need the instructions from Topix I have them download and can send them over to you. The A Bar support brackets need to bolt into the main bumper support and the only way to get to that is with the cover off.
