Hmm, I bought mine new so I’m not sure on CPO...

Do you have the remote app on your phone?
There is a subscriptions section in there which shows the expiry date of the various subscriptions and I *assumed* the map updates would be related to one of them.

In Control remote app shows an exisiting subscription for 4 years from when I bought the CPO. All valid thru 9/21/2022.
This is for InControl Protect, InControl Pro Services, and InControl Remote Premium.
InControl Protect says it coveres remote checking of fuel, range, find my vehicle, check windows and doors, download journeys, and SOS Emergency Call, Stolen Vehicle Locator.
InControl Pro Services says it covers Connected Navigation Services, Live and an in-car Wi-Fi hotspot.
InControl Remote Premium says it upgrades me to Remote Essential Smartphone App to allow me to remotely interact with my vehicle. It add, remote Beep and Flash and remote lock/unlock and remote precondition cabin (I assume remote start).

“ The majority of models built from 2017 receive Map Care, which provides free monthly map updates that are available to download for the duration of the warranty period*.”

Seems to me like you should have free updates...

I have logged in but it shows no vehicles attached to my account.
Then, I enter the vin and it shows my vehicle, I click confirm.
Then go to downloads and it says no vehicles attached to my account.
I have an email sent to LR to ask about this but I don't expect much help.
I'll try calling them during the week.

ATT 3G can hit 14mbps. Directv 1080p HD is 10mbps. 4g is faster but 3g is plenty. 3g uses bigger modems that drain the battery a lot faster. A lot of why your phone can last longer than the first smart phones is due to modems. It’s why your phone takes a battery dive when flying and it’s searching for 3g service or overseas where 4g doesn’t exist.

Can you use the new Android Auto/Apple CarPlay with just the data SIM card installed, or do you have to have a cell phone further tethered via a cord to the vehicle? It would seem like the data SIM should be able to provide for everything that Android Auto/Apple CarPlay needs, (it only uses data from your cell phone anyways, and not anything from the cellular aspect of your phone.)

My CPO came with 2 years of basically everything: app, maps, etc. The dealer put a new sim into mine with a new account and 2 years of subscriptions to the InControl services and the maps. I don't know if this is standard or this particular dealership just does it.

On my MY2020 DS I have to plug in my Galaxy S10+ or my wife's iPhone 8+ to be able to use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. There is no wireless connection for those apps. Also my AT&T SIM provides 4G data connection.

These are 4G, correct? The modems have always been 4G but JLR did not have an agreement with ATT to go to 4G until 1-2 years ago. It should be 4G and state on the inf screen "4G".

Bought mine new and have the 4yr map update included. Not sure what CPO's do.
