When we have both buckled our seat belts and driven away, frequently (but not every time), the front passenger shoulder belt grabs (locks in position and won't allow more belt to be pulled out as if you wanted to bend down or reach for something) and won't release unless unbuckled and allowed to fully retract . This does not happen to the driver side belt, i.e. when the passenger belt can't be pulled out you can still pull out the driver's side belt. In every case, fully retracting it fixes the problem for a while.

I'd think both belts should act the same. Anybody else have this problem and had it fixed? Pulling the belt slowly doesn't help either.
