Default So now this...

Last week my radio stopped working. It looks like it's on but no sound. Also when I go to settings it just changes back to flat...for example the bass/treble adjustments...
It also appears not to shut off even though the car is off and key away from car...This AM when I got in the dash had an indicator to start engine soon or be sorry....
Appt. at dealer Tues...

Hmmh, was this the flaky connection "at chassis" they have the new connector and star washer fix for or was it loose on the battery?

What year and where was yours built? Is this an across the board issue people have been experiencing? I feel like I've seen it a few times. I think I might preemptively check in to this on ours.

Ours is a 2019 but one of the last ones to come from the UK. It appears that our latest "DOA" problem is a new issue related to the negative [ground] from the battery as well. Just FYI. All I know at the moment.

I asked for a spec on battery bleed and they could not give me one. That would be the "vehicle OFF" spec for current bleed to power everything that remains active. If this is excessive by defect or design, it will cause premature battery failure others have reported and we too have experienced. A true "deep cycle" battery would help that if the bleed is "by design". I [we] like the vehicle enough I am at least considering buying a decent service manual for it since I would like to understand what might be going on better than I do now.
