Thanks. I was under the impression it was a button like in most vehicles. I've used the Sport mode for manual shifting.

The paddle shifts can be configured to be active in both D and S, or active in S only. Use the Vehicle settings instrument panel menu.

I was told a trick that when driving with paddles and if you then decided to return to auto, then press right paddle twice quickly.
