My understanding is that a software patch is needed once the "internals" are cleaned out to trick the ECU into thinking it's still there and functioning.

Heck, I'd be happy for any instructions to remove the DPF so that I can clean/flush it out.
So when you order the time you tell them over the phone you want the delete. My issue is how I’d ever sell the thing in the future. I’m not sure where I’d even list it. So I’m going to, for now, start using Hot Shot EDT in every tank to help with it. Really doesn’t cost anything.

what kind of forums are you selling on? What’s the legal issue if you sold it to a dealership? Could they come back and say “oh hey it’s been modded you owe us”?

or when you delete the EGP how hard is it to put everything back?

In many states jacking around with emissions equipment is a no no. Not disclosing it to a future owner is perhaps a bigger no no.

in Texas, they probably don’t care. Because….Texas.

I use it and it doesn’t help at all for DPF issues.

I use a regular DPF “renewing fluid” from Globe DPF which raises the temp of regen on shorter trips.

I recall talking to them over the phone some months ago. Their official legalese was,"this is for offroad use only"

I had mine done by Velocity. They have a tig welder there to put it all back together like original.
I wasn't a painless process and they needed more time than they anticipated but they only charged me the original quote of CAD 2300.
It's been over a year now and everything seems fine except I wasn't expecting to smell the exhaust as much as I do.
I'm just guessing but they probably have an even better tune now.

I spoke to them. That's a long drive for me. I have not ruled it out .

Ironically I bought mine because a) I like Land Rovers b) it was cleaner than my FFRR c) I could use renewable fuel.

slightly off-topic, but I noticed you're in SoCal too. Do you have any recommendations for a local indy shop?
I haven't found someone specializing in the Td6 yet.
