Hi Adam - not yet! I'm currently doing my own maintenance with help from my son who is a certified mechanic. But I'm sure I'll need someone when it's time to do the belts.

It's been over a year now and everything seems fine except I wasn't expecting to smell the exhaust as much as I do.
I'm just guessing but they probably have an even better tune now.
I found a shop willing to take on this in Vancouver, BC. how bad is the exhaust smell? I am assuming you smell it even with all window close? Also have your consumption improved?

The exhaust smell comes and goes and I would not call it a strong smell. I can discern it but it is quite slight. I don't smell it with the windows closed so it is not leaking into the cabin. I recently started using a fuel conditioner and have not noticed the smell since then.
The engine has only 65k kms and I am sure with more time and wear things will change.
As far as consumption and performance I cannot give clear data because I didn't "benchmark" it prior to the job but I definitely noticed a difference.
On my previous Grand Cherokee with the 3.0 litre I was constantly late for appointments due to the necessity of driving for 20 minutes to remove the dashboard warning. The Land Rover is better at this than Jeep but I am happy not to have to worry anymore.
I do recommend a fuel conditioner for this diesel. There is a YouTube channel that tests 5 or 6 different ones and I have noticed a definite difference since using the one I chose.

I had Velocity do my TD6 last week. For comparison I also have a Ram 1500 EcoDiesel with a Stage 1 (EGR/DEF) off tune. Post tune on both is night and day for drivability. That initial throttle lag is totally gone.

Drivability is much improved. Power is much improved. Fuel economy is much improved (trip meter said 7.1l/100km on the way back). Smell is very strong. Like at stop lights, quite noticeable and intrusive in the cab. To the point I'm going to check for leaks this weekend.

My EcoDiesel does not smell (still has DPF, but DEF is off) in the cab. My deleted F350 does not smell in the cab. My Disco smells in the cab when you are not moving (once underway, it clears up).

Velocity was great to work with. They had the job done in ~5-6 hours.

Which fuel conditioner do you use?

This might be a repeat post as the forum is not taking my previous attempt to answer you.
It's called Hot Shot's Secret Everyday Diesel Treatment..
Not cheap but claims it treats 3,200 gallons from a one gallon jug.

Thanks for the info!

And this reduced the smell?

I added 2 cans of LIQUI-Molly diesel system cleaner but have not had enough drive time to notice anything yet. I’ll report back when I do tho.

Am very interested in if it reduces your exhaust smell.
