I will say it does not feel like alignment in that the Disco does not pull left or right - the dealer has not been helpful in diagnosing an “off center” steering wheel other than just performing an alignment each time. The steering rack bushings/endlinks must be compressing/deflecting after the alignment to allow this - as all the specs look great on the alignment rack.

If all feels good and the specs look great, the tech probably didn’t center the steering properly before doing the aligment.

I find the driving experience totally unacceptable and I'm not going to stop fighting them on it until I get a resolution...... It's back at the dealer for for the 7th time.
Sounds like the steering rack may need to be replaced if it has more resistance to one side vs the other.
They probably never did a full and proper suspension inspection to verify balljoints, etc are all in good condition.
You would expect a luxury brand to start replacing parts till it is fixed under warranty.

And I'm complaining about the 3rd time in for the same problem and going on 6 weeks total across the 3 visits? I am being COMPLETELY unreasonable . . .

But, I am also going to go yell at them tomorrow. And demand to actually see our vehicle.

Truly a shame as I still think these chronic type problems appear more to me as service dept ignorance than the fault of the vehicle.

Wonder if an insane DSC system could cause your problem?

So I shared with them all of your comments and suggestions and they worked on the vehicle... Ended up replacing my front rotors, doing an alignment again and focusing on getting the steering wheel as straight as possible.... Picked it up and for the first 200 miles it's been night and day and drives as I hoped it would.

Not giving them any compliments until I get two weeks of good driving as historicaly it would fall out of order in the timeframe.

I still feel I deserve at LEAST a month of my lease credited as they had it with them seven times and I was out of it for more than a month combined.

I had the same problem with my 2018 D5. Took the dealer a while but they got it acceptable. First time they adjusted toe that was out of spec and realigned. better but not fixed. Second time took a few days with them working on it. My service ticket said "Followed SSM73980 and performed ride height calibration, tire swap and adjust the alignment to correct vehicle pull. My 2019 had to be re-aligned as well. It was off from the beginning too. I did it again after installing the johnson rods lift and had it realigned with the new larger tires. I just don't think these truck track all that straight no matter what you do. Its ok now but has never been a vehicle you could take your hand off the wheel on the interstate. Seems really sensitive to road conditions still. I'm just going to live with it.

mine has the 1.5 inch lift rods and the larger Yokohamas and was not aligned with either change. It tracks straight and runs smoothly and silently and never requires a second thought while driving ion any road surface or at any speed range.

I am just so tired of it, I swear it feels different almost daily.....rides super rough over bumps as well and I hear the body flexing and creaking on inclines and suspension pounding........

Mine does not ride rough and I run it at 44/50psi all the time with the slightly oversized tires. I hear no flexing or creaking or suspension pounding ever.
Could yours have been wrecked and repaired before you took possession?

Got mine back today from having a 4 wheel alignment and re-balancing of all wheels. $240.. ouch!

On what little stretch I did find to try it it seemed to track straight with the steering level but I didn't have time to really check it as traffic was busy and some of the roads were extremely bumpy and more to the point heavily graded. I'll take it out sometime in the next few days when it's quieter and on roads I know for a better evaluation...

A quick drive this evening confirms everything is back to normal.

I will point out that these vehicles seem very sensitive to the road grading though. Anything less than 100% flat and they will follow...

Default 2017 First Edition Drifts Right Fix

I have a 2017 Discovery First Edition that drifted to the right constantly. There is a LR technical bulletin on this issue with no solution.

Took the Disco to a specialist alignment shop and they discovered the front right suspension had too little camber. Essentially, both front suspension struts were leaning toward the right. They installed a shorter top link on the right suspension that brought it into the correct camber. After an alignment and tire rotation, the vehicle tracks straight.
