@discov I know this may sound stupid, (and probably is) but have you tried a different dealership ? basically a different alignment machine and mechanic. You may have a "mushy" suspension - may need changing.

My '17 steering wheel is slightly turned to the left when the wheels are centered, but just enough to notice. Alignment and tire wear is perfect and no tracking issues. I'm just going to roll with it.

Good Morning, I am just wondering if you ever got this issue sorted out as I am having the exact same issue with my 2019 Velar, it have been going over for just over 1 year and had 6 alignments but they still cannot get the steering wheel straight.

Default A history of alignment and balance issues

I'm looking at buying a used 2021 Discovery in Canada with 65,000 km. I saw they vehicle when it was dropped off and each corner has some scuffs and each door has a few dents but nothing that won't "disappear" during "reconditioning". It needs new tires but I noted that 3 of them have chunks out the side wall (rims are not damaged). Had I been there a week later I wouldn't have seen any of this.
I also asked for a copy of the service history which had been religiously done by the dealer at the age or mileage. I note it had had 3 wing mirrors repaced so obviously someone who can't manage the size even with cameras!
My bigger concern is that every serice, without exception, had wheel balancing and alignment done and some have tires refitted. This indicates more of a problem to me than a driver who hits the curbs sometimes!
I'm thinking, based on this thread, that I should keep looking! It will have 3 years of CPO but I don't need a lemon!
Thoughts and comments welcomed.

Was there ever an outcome in this steering wheel issue?

Same issue here in a 2024 Velar.

Dealership has done 6 alignments.... Each and every time it drives alright for a week or so and then I go back and it reads totally out of alignment again.

Been working and fighting with JLR for months and I'm just absolutely blown away that they refuse to help and keep pointing me at the dealership for help.... Crazy that I'm stuck with an $80k car that is all over the road, rides rough and feels laterally unstable. I also find that there's more steering resistance turning right then there is turning the wheel left.

The car is a 2019 Land Rover Discovery HSE LUX TD6.

Photos below show how the wheel sits constantly on a dead straight roadway.
Hey bud really interesting reading your post. My discovery is identical when driving down the road here in the uk.
Did you ever get to the bottom of it..?

I don’t have this issue at all but I get a slight pull with my winter Blizzaks that goes away with my all terrain tires. Alignment checks show no issue and I can’t swap tire sides because they are directional unless I do a remount on the wheels.
This doesn’t help you but you have electric power steering. I really wonder if it could be part of the problem. I wonder if you could remove power to it for a test ride. Maybe a fuse or a connector.
