2019 disco- i’m beyond livid. needs another new windshield and they want me to pay for it this time. this is criminal on LRs part. how can they keep putting in faulty equipment and then we are to pay for their mistakes. i want a class action law suit! this is ridiculous. i can’t drive my car in rain or snow in NY. even if i did pay the $2k- which i refuse- the dealer can’t even get the glass! totally out of stock.

Call the auto glass repair shops around you. They can attempt a lift and reseal of your current windshield. If it's newer with no damage, it has a higher chance of success. It's still about 50/50. Some shops say 70%. I went in to get this done this morning and of course they didn't have the glass on site even though they set the appointment 🙄. They're charging $325 for a lift and reseal. It's about $1300 (not OEM, but comparable) if the glass breaks.

Call Rover dealers around you and ask who they use for glass work. Our dealer brings in an outside company to do the glass work.

 

If multiple windshields have failed, document everything and file a complaint with NHTSA. Escalate with Land Rover corporate and check if your insurance will cover it. If the dealer can’t source glass, an independent glass shop may have options. If this is a common issue, a class action may already be forming—check legal forums or consumer protection groups.
