I've changed into winter mode now where I mount my alpine Thule ski box onto the RhinoRack crossbars. The Slimline II has been removed (very easily because I'm using the roof rail mount clamps) and the crossbars have been installed. Here are a couple of photos of my "universal" traction device mounting bars mounted on the winter setup.
