I had high hopes, but sadly I still have no sound from Waze :S.

 

I should have been more precise in what I said, the issues of CarPlay randomly taking over are gone after cleaning the connector out, I still have no sound from Apple Maps (for example).

 

Reviving this one to see if anyone's had luck with a fix? I'm guessing it's a Land Rover thing...used CarPlay on various rental cars over the past few weeks with no trouble. Audio just seems wonky overall...plug the phone in and radio cuts off, do something in CarPlay and audio/radio cuts out. Hope they fix soon, more road trips coming up and would much rather use Waze, etc.

 

I called LR last week and they confirmed the issue lies with recent update Apple applied to Carplay that is causing issues with the JLR Infotainment. They couldn't give me an ETA on a fix, but said it would be an over the air update.

 

Come to the dark side of Android Auto, the water is fine.

 

After the May update, I had a variety of Gremlins come and go. I researched through a variety of resources for a fix and finally just took a wild guess... I unhooked the battery for a couple hours. When I reconnected it... all the Gremlins were gone and have not come back (500 miles).

Sometimes you just have to cut the power.

the latest software update in place has this bug. I just got my car back from JLR dealership to fix this very issue. They had the car for 4 days and as I drive away and put on the Apple car play navigation the voice didn’t come on. So I read the paperwork and it says software update was not done because the version on car is up to date. Also it says that JLR is aware of the problem and there is no fix in place as of now. Curious thing is that the Evoque loaner they gave me did not have this issue - the navigation on Apple Car Play did have voice. I’m disappointed because the dealership didn’t tell me that they didn’t fix the issue and I don’t know why they kept my car for four days if they have no solution and are aware of the problem.

 

Just updated my Iphone and now it's having problems or issues connecting with Tidal or Amazon music, it says it can't connect? I am thinking it needs an update on the software itself but wondering if anyone is having the issues if you're using the latest Apple IOS 15
