Updated/New style (plastic) crossover pipe success/failures
You should be able to visually tell if they are the upgraded plastic front crossover pipe by if they have the problematic seam or not as shown in post #3 of this thread. The upgraded ones do not have the seam
Yep, thankfully I have the upgraded plastic ones now.
I bought the Supercharger components from SuperchargersOnline.com
LR122710, LR028136, and LR117568 from Euro-Amp.com
Everything else from LR Raleigh https://parts.landroverraleigh.com/

Good info. Still substantially more mileage than the early 2 pieces failed at. What condition was the rear crossover pipe in?
Took it apart, cleaned, loctited & torqued the screws evenly. Going to use an OEM sensor as well. Initial pressure testing shows no air leaks.. so far so good.
Im changing the valves covers on my 2016 LR4 with the SCV6 (same engine) at 117k miles. I replaced my cross overs around 75k miles when they started leaking with the upgraded single molded design for the fronts, but still 2-piece design for the rear. After 40k miles they still both looked brand new. Im replacing the front with aluminum all the same.
Considering the labor involved it would not be wise to replace the parts with plastic ones when aluminum is available.
