…to get this back on topic a bit. Doesn’t sound like the widespread failures on 19’/20’ as 17’/18’…or there are just no 19’/20’ owners are anywhere online
I have a 2020 Si6 with 41k on it and have not had any issues with the plastic pipes, but I do keep an eye out for coolant loss.
Hello everyone, I am planning to do the coolant upgrade over the holidays ( either Thanksgiving or Christmas ). This is the list of what I've bought to get it done. I'd like to know if I am missing anything. Re: 2018 LR Discovery HSE - SC Gasoline [ 71,000 miles ]
Thank you in advance!
Don’t forget coolant. They make an aftermarket aluminum thermostat assembly. Not sure if some of your LR parts are plastic and available aftermarket aluminum.
Besides gaskets, the original repair used: 011038 Water Outlet Plug 049990 Tube, Thermostat to Engine 033994 Tube, Water Pump to Thermostat 045239 Throttle Body Heater Hose The above parts are Genuine LR 090630 Tube, Coolant to Upper Hose 092992 Coolant Outlet Pipe 117568 Thermostat Assembly with sensor 122710 Crossover Manifold Rear The above 4 parts were Metal by Euro Amp brand
The failed parts were: 090630 Tube, Coolant to Upper Hose 092992 Coolant Outlet Pipe
And were replaced with genuine LR parts which weren't available at first repair: 186859 Tube, Coolant to Upper Hose 186917 Coolant Outlet Pipe
The following 2 metal Euro Amp parts were not available in metal from LR and were not leaking after the repair so were not replaced during second repair: 117568 Thermostat Assembly with sensor 122710 Crossover Manifold Rear
Note: When using aftermarket metal parts, the genuine LR O-rings were used. Don't use the O-rings that come with the aftermarket parts.

I bought 1 gl of Genuine LR Coolant. I haven't check if 1 gallon is enough.
The 2 coolant outlet pipes [LR186917 and LR186859] are Genuine LR aluminum parts.
The Rear coolant manifold pipe [LR122710], Oil Cooler Tube [LR028136], and Thermostat Unit [LR117568] . . . all Aluminum, are from Euro-Amp.
Everything else is Genuine Land Rover parts, and OEM EATON replacement parts for the supercharger.
Do you happen to have the part numbers for the LR OEM O-Rings? * The 2 outlet pipes already have the O-rings.
Thank you for the heads-up.
Sorry no part number for O-rings. 1 Gallon Genuine coolant will make 2 gallons mixed with distilled water. That is plenty. I was told both by the dealer that I trust and the independent that I trust that LR O-rings should be used on the aftermarket parts.

I bought the Supercharger components from SuperchargersOnline.com
LR122710, LR028136, and LR117568 from Euro-Amp.com
Everything else from LR Raleigh https://parts.landroverraleigh.com/
This thread picked my interest as I have a 2017 Si6 with 75k miles. In my case three years back (2022) the idler and SC pulleys failed and took with them part of the cooling system (I stopped right away so no catastrophic overheating). Serviced was performed at our local dealer and most of the cooling system was replaced including the cross pipes that are the subject of this thread. Looks like back then OEM aluminum was not available so I have to assume that the replacement parts were the updated plastic designs, but would love to be sure. Do you guys know if LR updates part numbers when they upgrade them? In the case of BMW it is common to see new part numbers for any upgraded parts and the parts catalog will indicate the parts that it is superseding, so I am wondering if that is an easy way to confirm that what's on my car is the upgraded (still plastic) parts. Clearly they have changed the part numbers for the aluminum ones but wondering if that was also the case for the upgraded plastic ones.
