Default USB power when ignition off

When ignition is off in my 19 disco - the usb ports in the center console seem to be powered. I have a wireless CarPlay box that’s connected to one of them at all times - so I am wondering if it is likely to deplete the battery while the car is off.
Anyone know how long before the car shuts power to those ports after ignition is off? And what causes them to wake back up? (Seems like the car wakes up when you open the door)

In my experience it takes about 10 minutes for the USB ports to shut off. Cannot speak to leaving your CarPlay box plugged in, however an LR tech once told me to unplug everything 'no matter what' if leaving the car for a few days. Opening the doors automatically wakes them back up... The car needs to be started or they shut off again in 10 minutes.

Thank you! That makes sense. Are there any ports that are always active/powered to your knowledge? (I would want to avoid those)

No... I actually installed some in the back of my disco to power phone chargers when I am tailgating or camping. I just leave plugged in long enough for a full charge and unplug.

My install thread is here:
