Yes... debating doing the same here as diesel has hit $5/gallon. Wife is in the market for a vehicle as her Volvo V70 is close to 200,000 miles and starting to go. Considering a plug-in hybrid X5 or XC90 as her daily commute is ~3 miles round-trip. How is the I-Pace?

Avg. Diesel here is $6.50+, with peak at $8.

As for the I-Pace, so far the family loves it. It's a 2024 (ex-service loaner).
JLR Dealer dropped the price from $80k to $40k (plus tax), with 3K miles on the clock.

Don't get an XC90. All modern Geely-era Volvos are complete unreliable garbage for people who have zero common sense. I've genuinely never seen a more problematic brand than Volvo nowadays.

I was about to comment we have been very pleased with my wife’s XC90. Have only had to replace an O2 sensor (under extended warranty) in 4+ years and 75k miles. It’s a T5 but the T8 would be great for our use case also.

Back to Rovers, a mere 54k miles on my 2020 SCV6. A window regulator has been the only issue thus far (jinx)

Yikes... Our diesel went from ~$2.60-$3 to $4.99. Road tripping to Naples tomorrow in the TD6... looking forward to it, but not the hurt its about to put on my wallet.

Amazing deal! Wow. Tried talking her into a Jaguar but no luck...

@CincyRovers We were both surprised to see how low they rank in reliability... saw even Land Rover is ahead of them now. I think she has shifted to a Manhattan Green X5 45e. Trying to get my 5 year old to coax her into a race car
