Who tows the biggest??

Solaire 240bhs
I have put almost 30,000 miles on mine towing my Solaire 240BHS. Weight on CAT scale I was close to 14,300 lbs combined weight. I used a Hensley Arrow and struggled to keep the weight on the rear axle near the maximum rear axle load rating of 4200lbs. I was usually closer to 4400lbs.
I have now purchased an F350 with a 6.7 Powerstroke. Mt TD6 pulled fine, struggled some and I felt I needed to use manual mode at times to keep it in the proper gear or powerband. The F350 pulls about the same mpg, but is way more relaxed. Plus now I don't feel like I am over taxing my D5.
Looking at those of you towing without weight distribution, I suggest you hit a CAT scale and make sure you are not overloaded your vehicle. The rear axle load rating is only 4189 on the D5.
I still prefer it towing over my Super Duty as it is smoother and more comfortable. But the F350 pulls the load and feels completely unstressed and will maintain the speed limit on almost any hill regardless of the headwind where my D5 starts to struggle.
