Default Aloha From... Ohio?

Hello everybody!
Long time fan first time owner.
I bought a 99 Disco II with 136,000 miles on it and could not be more excited.
It has a few issues not that uncommon to the discovery which I will be sorting first then I will move onto to the fun stuff.

I got rid of an old Audi that I loved to step up to something a little more serious.
This is what I got.

By all outward appearances it seems nice and for the most part it is.
However it has some rust in the rear frame area that will need some attention ASAP.
Beyond that it has a very small coolant leak at the TB heater plate and some leaking valve cover gaskets.
on a recent trip I felt a high frequency vibration at about 70MPH so I also just bought 4 new grease-able U joints and a centering bearing.
I will be rebuilding the drive shafts tomorrow.

It's got some other new parts that lead me to believe that it was not totally neglected so that's a bonus.

I have been a car dude all my life and have been involved with arranging get togethers of all sorts.
I hope to set up some trail ride/camping events in the Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky areas once I get my rig beefed up a bit.

Like anyone else that joins forums I will be asking a lot of questions and look forward to learning all there is to know about my ride.

Until next time....

Welcome. The complete set of manuals for your prime posh pile of pre-owned sheet metal is called the RAVE, has electrical, shop, owner manuals, etc.; and is a download link below. Consider a 180F thermostat, the heat gauge is stuck on 50% for a very wide range, use a scanner to see real temps. Ultra Gauge is about $70.

Change oil early and often (5000 miles), and avoid the dealership, their rates are like the Audi dealer (that's what puts the "owww!" in Audi).
