Default Another new owner from Tacoma, WA

Went and bought a 2003 Discovery II SE7 last week and so far it has been great. These forums were very helpful in making a list of things to check while I was looking so to whom it may concern, thank you very much!

I'm looking forward to joining any local clubs though I'm going to have to get another one for offroad fun. My wife would turn into a category 5 whorenado if I took it up in the mountains.

Anyway, it is apparently impossible for us to own a vehicle that doesn't have a name, so here's Nigel.

Thanks again for all of the helpful info here. We looked at a lot of them in bad shape before we found this one.

Swanky lookin' Disco. Be sure to downlaod the RAVE tech manual set. Be sure to read up on the new-2-u high miles things to do for Discos in our tech section. If your drive shafts (prop shafts) have grease fittings, grease every oil change. if not, look at propshaft rebuild in the tech section, they make a chirping noise just before splitting apart and spearing the transmission ($7,000 dealer fix). Less than $50 for parts to rebuild shaft.

Miles on the new ride?

And in case you missed it, don't trust the temp gauge, it is an eternal optomist.
