Combination Ignition light switch
I'm helping my friend with a series 2a petrol engined Land Rover.
After dismantling his combination ignition/light switch, I can see that it's hopelessly worn and needs to be replaced.
The replacement parts available all seem to have the screw on connectors, whereas his has spade connections, as does the new wiring harness.
The parts supplier says it should have the screw on connections. Was there a point when Lucas switched to the spade connectors?
Because I find it hard to believe that the replacement wiring harnesses would come with spade connectors, if the original cars had the ring/ screw in type.
I have an Austin Healey of the same vintage (1966), and all the wiring behind the dash is spade type.
Thanks.
