Default coolant leak

Hey!
Anybody have any experience with the metal lines that run from top to bottom of motor and leaking coolant?
Everything else has been checked and I can see it dripping when I am parked
Are they hard to replace or is there a fix?
Please help!
Thanks

The TC in my 2000 makes a clicky noise when it engages, at least when it has to work seriously in snow or ice. As far as I know it's normal.

Default coolant leak!

Hey everybody!
Any one have any experience with the metal lines that go from the top of the motor to the bottom and carry coolant?
I think mine are leaking! Little drips everytime I park!
Already did the water pump ! all other hoses look good!
Are they impossible to fix?
Do they rot?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks.

Default RE: coolant leak

I have a 2001 Discovery and am having a similar issue. I see coolant on the bottom of my engine and on the lines. The leak is not constant, it is intermittent. I sat underneath the car for about a freakin hour trying to figure out where it was coming from. I thought it had to be the aluminum lines as you did. However, I now think that it is the Cold Level overflow line. I think the change to the cold weather has slowed the flow of coolant throught the block and my cold level resevoir is overfilling at times. When it gets too high, I think it "spits" out the excess then stops. When it does, its hitting the frame etc and splattering all over the bottom of the engine. Check around the cold level resevoir and see if you have any coolent around it. Also, my check engine light recently came on. The code is a "speed sensor" fault code and wouldnt you know it, the speed sensor is directly below the cold level resevoir and coolent is soking it.

Default RE: coolant leak

I have a 2001 Landrover Dicovery II.
Since the past few months I have discovered a coolant leak that leaves a stain whenever I park for a long period of time, and I have to fill the overflow tank a few times a month.

I have had both the radiator replaced (leak found) and the thermostat.

Now I still cannot find were the coolant is coming form. My temperature gauge will stay in the middle after a few minutes of drive time, never goes above the middle. But yet occasionally my temperature light will come on then go off.
This happened today as I was going through the car wash. But it went away the minute I left.

I am puzzled.
I cannot find any leaks around the head gasket, but the heating plate on the throttle body has what looks to be a leak. I do not see a lot of coolant around that area to warrant that as being the problem.

However I feel this may be coming from the front, since that is were I find the stains.
Can someone help with a suggestion?

Thanks
