New to land rovers, but not to building offroad rigs. ive been a yotoda guy for years and always loved land rovers but never owned one, so i went and got one.

currently driving a 2001 LR Disco II no mods (yet)
109k
love it.

project ideas:
OME 2" lift
tactical rovers bumpers and sliders
Camel Trophy limb guards
SD rack
BFG mt tires
diff guards
skid plates
winch

that's it for now, i'll update the progress as it comes.

Welcome. Enjoy the free download of factory shop and owner manuals, called the RAVE, at link below. You should check the front propshaft for multiple grease fittings, if not there, the stock unit may snap and poke big hole in transmission. Write up in our tech area on DIY rebuild.

Welcome to the group. Have a couple suggestions for you, don't spend money on plating, buy QT diff guards and Buy a linkage so you can reattach the CDL to your t/case of lots more traction.

savannah buzz- you must be from ga! lol thanks for the links, and i'll toss the disco on the lift tomorrow to check it out. a new prop shaft may be on that list too cause i cannot afford to be stuck with a hole in my tranny. i've seen the jeep guys have that problem if they dont do a slip joint on their lifted jeeps.

disco mike- for plating i'll fab my own, i have access to rollers planishing hammers, and welders in the body shop i've been a toyota and subaru master tech for 10 years. as far as the CDL linkage, where can i find more info about that?
