I'm a newbie learning from the ground up with my '99 Disco II SE7 - 96,300 miles. I bought this LR knowing it had some issues and was eager to learn how to work on it myself. Well, it seems I will be learning even much more than initially planned with this truck full of little surprises.
I'm currently going through Mike's check list for bringing the LR up to date after purchasing with 60K+ miles. So far I've changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, cleaned the t-body, seafoam in the gas tank (tonight through the vacuum hose), changed the diff fluids, cleaned the MAF, and will apparently being changing the plugs and wires in a couple of days, along with the front o2 sensors.
I'll be hiring someone else to change all the gaskets, otherwise my mind is for molding!
