Discovery 2012 with 220k miles and two inlet manifolds gone.
Hi All,
For the Admins and Users, thank you for letting me join this wonderful informative site !!!
I have a LandRover Discover 2012 with 220,000 Kilometers on it. I bought it at 180,000 Kilometers.
I do enjoy it. It is a wonderful drive.
Recently, i got a couple of problems.
During covid lock down i am hardly doing any milage. I am working remotely. Just picking up kids.
I noticed the following in this order
* oil measurement transducer started to complain in the cockpit.
* I noticed oil leaking from top right of engine.
* Restriction mode started coming on.
I have taken it to my local land Rover expert. He had a look at it and tells me that 2 manifolds are gone.
I have heard that two manifolds gone is an indication of further problems down the road.
He also told me timing belt on jeep was never done.
I don't know what to do with the jeep.
Is it word getting a reconditioned engine ?
Can any one advise ?
Any Help greatly appreciated
Thanks
