First 4x4
I am moving to Asheville, NC and I will buy my first 4x4 so I can see the rugged Western North Carolina and North Georgia landscape up close. I wanted to buy a 2000 Discovery. This LR would primarily be used for winter and off road use as my second vehicle.
The reviews about the 2000 LR were awful, however, it is obvious people love their LR's. I do not want AWD or a Jeep Liberty.
Anything wrong with series II Discovery models?
Thanks

I have had my Series II Disco for a couple of months now and I LOVE IT! One thing I have noticed about LR owners is that they stay LR owners. That tells me that they are great vehicles. The biggest issue with mine being a V8 is to try and keep my foot of the GO pedal!
Welcome to the forum.
proton the only thing wrong with Land Rovers is owners, for the most part.
By that I mean most people that have problems with LR never take care of
the normal maintenance .
I have people tell me all the time I would have got a (whatever) all I say
is I see a lot more old LR's than that other thing.
