First time 02 disco in SC

Default First time 02 disco in SC
Tom here in South Caolina, new owner of an 02 Discovery 88000 miles. Got it last Fri. 3rd day the service engine soon light came on and the wife drove it today and the power steering started making the squealing noise for a few mins. So where do I start...LOL I love this vehicle!

Welcome to a love/hate relationship! What part of SC are you from? I'm in the Clemson/Seneca area.

Free shop manual download is called the RAVE. I split my time between Savannah and Trenton. Stop by most parts stores and they will read engine codes for free, write down the numbers and look up in shop manual or post here.

What type of oil do I need too run here in the south ...what brand is best?

I bought some high mileage Valvoline that I put in about 1500 miles ago.
