Default Hello from Denver

I recently brought home a D2 G4 Edition with ~90k and have been using this website extensively to educate myself on all things Discovery. I've already used resources from this site to fix these:
1) Horn
2) Cruise control
3) Clock light bulb
4) SRS light
5) Decided NOT to mess with front sunroof (gonna leave it sealed shut)

I'm starting on the small, easy, simple things before tackling the more complicated preventative maintenance list stuff. I'm mechanically inclined but have not done much work on my own vehicles prior to this one. I figure this is a good investment of my effort to get the most I can out of this truck.

I'm sure I will have plenty of questions in the future! Also this site is awesome!

Welcome, local person, to the club, if you have any question post them in the D2 section.

So I thought my Disco was a G4 since a mechanic called it that the other day and because it was orange, but I couldn't find evidence of G4s existing before 03/04. Also, if I had bothered to read the SV tag on the radiator shroud more closely, it clearly says "TREK" on there. I'm working on getting the VIN run to confirm, but my current thought is that I have a 2001 Trek Edition. Sometimes I don't read so good.

It is still the coolest thing on four wheels, and once in the natural mud covered state you won't be able to see the tag... here is a pix of the sort of recovery team that can come in handy....

Default Welcome

Local here too! Welcome to the best thing that ever happened to you, and the worst thing that ever happened to your wallet. It's kind of like having a child, a dog, or a girlfriend...

P.S. Awesome name...
