Hello-Looking to buy Disco II and Have ?
Hello, I'm looking at buying a 2002 Disco with 109,000 miles (mostly highway) for $10,500. Its in great shape with all service records and no partshave ever had to be replaced. (Which I see as both a good thing and bad thing.) My major worry is that I buy the Rover andthe head gasket or some other pricy part goes out. If nothing has gone wrong yet...can I expect it to soon? Will I blow a head gasket at 115,000mi? (My borther's 97 XDs went out at 60,000mi) I want a Rover but don't want the worry of several thousand in repairs in the first couple of months. Any adivce to help me make up my mind...
Next time post your quesions in the Discovery section instea of the intro section, you'll get more replys.
Rovers are Rovers, good vehicles and are just as prone to experience a failure of one kind or another at any mileage.
Buy the truck, enjoy it and time tells all.
As to your question, yes you can blow a head gasket at any mileage, look at the 100;s of thoudand of head gaskets went thru for years.
