Default Hi From Cary NC

I've recently become infatuated with Discovery II's but I know nothing about them honestly. I'm fairly mechanically inclined just never gave these vehicles much of a look until recently.

How susceptible to catastrophic failure are they prone? given there bad gas mileage are there any remedies that can rectify that a bit, bolt-ons etc.? Thanks in advance, lookin forward to your feedback.

Cheers!

Factory manuals below, called the RAVE. Stands for Rovers A'int Very Economical. The front prop shaft if not upgraded to fully greased will snap and then proceed to beat a hole in the side of the transmission. Factory temp gauges tell you everything is OK until the BBQ starts. Others can go fast. You can go anywhere. If you DIY you can save quite a bit. The info found on this forum will help fuel your addiction. Welcome.
