Been prowling this forum for some time, but haven't interacted much.
Usually just searching for answers to questions about my LR3.
I purchased it used in April 2017 with about 125,000 miles on it.
Honestly, I wasn't even looking for a Rover, just wanted a SUV that held 7+ people.
But the LR3/4 kept popping up in searches at prices that intrigued me and I've always loved the square body on these beauties.
I'd heard all the negative talk about them, but this wasn't going to be a daily driver so I went for it.
Almost four years and about 42,000 miles later, I freakin' love this truck.
She dominated the snow and crazy weather here in Texas recently.
I've done all my own oil changes with high-mileage Mobil One.
I've done the transmission service (kit from AB), the front and rear differential service (kit from AB), and a near complete front end rebuild (new upper/lower control arms, tie rods, axles, and air struts).
Rear end rebuild is next...I can hear the bushings squeaking.
Thinking about experimenting with a matte white vinyl wrap and planning on getting wheels powder-dipped black.
Having some suspension issues, but working on them...I don't wanna do a coil-conversion.
Have replaced the front air struts again (I made huge mistake of purchasing "refurbished"...never again), replaced the air compressor (pretty sure those front struts contributed to burning old one out), and front valve block. I posted separately about right rear height sensor wiring harness issue.
Anyways, here's a pic of her doing "hot Rover stuff" at an off-road park.
