Default Into and advice please.

Hello All.

My name is Richard, and I'm a 60 year old male.

I feel a bit of a fraud as I don't own a Land Rover yet, but I'm looking to buy one for some long distance travel. So I have some questions really before I buy.

I'm looking at a Land Rover Discovery and have a maximum of £15000 to spend.
A Land Rover Discovery because I have a long stading bad back condition and the seats look very comfortable to me, and a nice high driving position.

I'm looking on-line and the 2.7 td v6 looks a decent choice. At around 10k I can find one with about 70k on the clock. But I would prefer leather seats rather than cloth, for extra comfort.

I understand they cost a bit to run fuel wise, what could I expect on a run?

Are the as comfortable as I think? Are there any models I should look for?

Engine wise what is high mileage for a v6 Land Rover discovery?

Thanks and hello to all.

Richard

Hi Richard. welcome. I can not really speak for the performance of the 2.7td, but I have driven and ridden in the later model lr4 hse lux. I can say they are extremely comfortable.
with all the bling , bells and whistles, seat adjustment memory and the quiet and a fairly roomy cabin are my favorite features.
