Default Long time owner, new here

Been driving Land Rovers for ~20 years, but new here.

Currently driving a 2003 Disco SE7. On my 3rd engine with it, fortunately covered by an extended warranty. Everything else is pretty typical or better for a Disco.

Previously had a RR Classic (1989) that I drove for 240K miles with no significant issues (window motors, door locks, and a steering box).

Trying to decide if I invest in the '03 Disco, get something different and likely older, or move on.

On my 3rd engine with it, that truck has a darker cloud over it that I do.
I would move on to another one myself.

I guess you could say; what are the odds of it needing a fourth engine?

Yeah, really don't know. Both others were factory defects. The first one the push rod channels were never drilled. They were apparently cast, but not drilled or reamed. No idea how that could happen. The 2nd one had a bad main bearing.

I have the original heads but am on my 3rd block. Both swapped out by the dealer.
