Hi, I sold my built Jeep Wrangler (5.2L V8 conversion, 35" MT's, etc.) several years ago to a friend and I get "seller's remorse" every time I see it, but I need something with a bit more creature comforts so I've been considering a Land Rover Discovery or older Range Rover Classic. My sister has a 1999 Disco she and my brother-in-law bought with a blown engine for $500 and fixed up, its been running great for about six years now (with the typical issues - funniest being driving to New York for a concert and putting down the window at a toll booth only to have the glass drop into the door - in a blizzard) so yes, I know what I am getting into. I'm an ex-USAF machinist and aircraft A&P mechanic and I have two MGBs that I fully restored also, and intend to do all maintenance myself. Looking forward to getting "learned up" on Land Rovers.
