I bought JFall's D1. All in all he's taken pretty good care of it. The first test was flying down to San Diego and driving it back up to the Bay Area. At 170,000 miles it runs great. Smooth idle , no overheating, no engine lights, all the electronics work. I'm now ready to break something whilst performing recommended maintenance.

 

Welcome. BE sure to download the RAVE shop manual set, in case he did not give it to you on a USB drive. As for overheating, unless you have a scanner or Ultra Gauge attached, that is a guess on your part based on the "pretend" temp gauge. And you passed a lot of great salvage yards on the trip, always interesting.
