Hello all,

Well, I just bought my first English car. Well not quite, back in 1968 I bought an Austin 1800 Utility brand new (that car still exists in the hands of a mate!!), and in 1972 we bought a 1965 Triumph 2000 which my wife still fondly talks of but other than that, I never returned to the fold.

12 years back a good mate bought a 1991 Range Rover Vogue. It was in superb condition and in the 12 years it has only been driven another 17 thousand kilometres. In all its life it has only spent 9 nights in the open and no-one can ever remember it being used in low range.

As he has some health issues, he asked me to sell it for him. Sell it..... I bought it!!! Lovely old thing. I'll only be using it on odd occasions so it should stay in good nick for a long time to come.

It's got a couple of quirky faults in the electrics but they should be easy to fix. I'll be asking for help in the technical forums.....
