I am getting ready to purchase a used disco. I'm looking at an 04-05, and i wanted to know if i should look at a certain model, or stay away from any. There is an 03 discovery se with 87k miles. its 8795. are there any things i should look for, or any advice? Thanks. Jason

First, I realize you are new, but you need to learn to read before asking for help. Read the thread that 2 above you, Gee, it says "NO QUESTIONS' in this section, pretty easy to understand.
Second Disco's were discontinued at the end of 04, 05's were LR3's, so which are you looking for and what do you plan on using it for.

wow. First off, it says no TECHNICAL questions. i didnt realize asking someone for some input about what i should look for, or stay away from was technical. Changing a universal, drive shaft, checking o2 sensor locations, or replacing a transmission would be a more technical question... maybe that needs clarified in that post 2 above mine, Gee. secondly, it also states in that post

5. Please... read what people write, and answer the questions they asked, not the ones they didn't. (Baylink)

6. Treat other members as you want to be treated. Understand that your posts may be misread (which happens often).

I didnt ask if i could post un technical questions here. I didn't ask what other posts said. i simply was looking at input from seemingly helpful other members, but i guess i was incorrect.

if i was an administrator, i would certainly understand that someone who is completely new to this forum, should not be chastised for posting a simple question for what they should be looking for, and for what they should be staying away from. OBVIOUSLY i am new, and have no idea what year discoveries were produced, which is why i came here. i understand that looking through thread after thread, searching for a similar question might be ok for some people, but i just dont have the time. a NEWBIE section should come with some understanding that we dont know where to post things, and some discretion/decorum should be used when answering those "NEWBIE" questions.

I am so sorry to have upset those that are old pro's, and i will be searching other forums who might be a little more understanding. Thank you for nothing. Bad form sir.
oh yeah, you can delete my account, as i am not 5 years old, and dont need scolded for asking a question.
