Hi Everyone, I'm new to Land Rover ownership. I joined in hope of gaining important maintenance tip to avoid any major headaches. I know no auto is trouble free but a great maintenance regime & knowing how to turn a wrench makes for less headaches. I have an 04 Disco II, 84k and before I drove it off the dealer lot the battery, a/c & sunroof motor bought the farm. Needless to say all was fixed & a new spare tire was thrown in. So, what do I do first, second . . . etc. If you took the time to read this:

Front drive shaft if oem will spilt and break hole in tranny. Replace or rebuild now with greaseable U joints.

Heat gauge points at 50% from cold to damn hot. Use a scanner or Ultra Gauge to see real temps.
