I bought a 2000 D2 anout a month ago now I believe. One of the local Land rover dealers service manager sold me the vehicle. The things I've found that are wrong with it are: Pic first though.

1. front sunroof not working. Already have a JY replacement. I know its the motor since I can tap on the roof panel and the sunroof will open.

2. The headliner is falling down

3. Right brake light bulb blown(already have this as well)

4. Check engine light on for right bank upstream I believe. Don't remember the actual code. Ive read a few paces to check the connections that it may not be the o2 sensor itself.

5. wiper blades bad.(bought these the other night)

6. brakes were squealing(replaced all brakes last weekend.

7. heated seats and windshield may not be working. Its hot now so not a priority but I'd like to get these working before it gets cold.

8. The starter went out on me with no warning on a island that was only accessible by ferry. This was expensive. With the cost of the tow and the new starter this cost me $550.

Some things I'd like to do to it.

1. Replace or upgrade the sound system. I don't want huge bass or any kind of sub boxes at all. Just maybe replace the factory units with some upgraded speakers and maybe a bigger amp. Not sure if I want to get rid of the head unit yet.

2. Id like to replace all the lights out with LED lights

3. do the headlight update to the 03-04 model style

4. change the roof rails to the 04 rails.

5. I need some tires fairly soon as the current ones are dry rotted so I don't want to run them too much. If I get tires I'm going to want to go bigger so a lift will be in store but not sure what yet.

I absolutely LOVE that curved LED light bar! I have the twin (except for color and engine) to yours, and that light bar would be fantastic!
You can change the lights to the 'facelift' lights, but it is a lot of work and is not cheap...

I love the light bar too. I was really surprised how well it worked out. I'm not sure what I want to do with the headlights yet. I've thought about doing the defender style lights but it'd have to be a custom job and not really sure I want to do that. The update for the 03-04 headlights isn't much less work either from my understanding. We will see though. I'll do something because I'm not really liking the current headlights.

Welcome! I really like that color. I'm amazed how nice that front bumper looks too.

Let me know if I can help you with any of those parts you're after.

I'm wanting a black on black vehicle. I wanted that when I bought it but never found one in good enough condition mechanically so I have a friend that said he can paint it for me for $1000 but I still need an interior. Is there anyone close by that has a parts vehicle with black interior that they'd be willing to swap interiors. Haven't decided on this completely yet just trying to get everything lined up.
