Good morning ladies and gents. Just purchased my first LR a couple of weeks ago. Purchased a 2001 Discovery II with 120k on the clock. Got it for pretty cheap because of issues it had: overheating and check engine light. Took it to a local specialist shop in Point Loma, Ca and had the thermostat replaced, a short fixed in the emissions wiring and a couple small things replaced and it seem to be running pretty good now. Just wanted to stop in and give a introduction if sorts, and liking forward to enjoying the disco

 

Welcome. Hold on to your wallet..... and check front drive shaft, oem has sealed grease joint on one end, drys out from California cats (and others) , then it snaps, and slams a hole in the tranny case. Rebuild or replace, write up in our tech area.
