Default New Disco II Owner

I got a 2004 Disco II with 103k Miles in December last year.

The good side: it is a California car, no corrosion visible even if I look underneath with a flash light. My previous car (Japanese SUV, which was 18 years old) looked really bad in comparison.

The bad side: I already had numerous repairs (as expected) like new transfer case, new front drive shaft, power steering box (leaked), new tail light (cracked), new ignition lock (key stuck), some minor electric like light bulbs and new battery. It is consuming way too much engine oil (1qt/400Miles), seems to be burned completely in the engine, since there are no leaks visible.

Repairs done by previous owners: head gaskets with valve stem seals, valve cover gaskets, new oil pump, new water pump, new rear wheel hubs, three amigos fixed.

Upgrades done myself: helper air springs, battery separator & second battery.

To do: headliner (sagging), new front bumper (cracked), transmission, front&rear axle service. Fix the oil consumption issue. Also I need to install a roof rack for boats/surf boards, Bluetooth for for audio.
