Hello,
Long time lurker of most of the land rover forums for the last few years. Have had Disco 2 about 5 years. Has 110k. From Florida. Now in Colorado. In the process of going through entire vehicle....so it will pass emissions...lol
So far replaced;
Coil pack
spark plugs
spark plug wires
front drive shaft
rear pads and rotors
right rear ABS sensor
water pump, thermostat, radiator, upper hose assembly
mass air flow
steering stabilizer
rear bumper
drivers window regulator
headliner
idler pulley
drive belt
various plastic trim on vehicle
starter which one of the ears sheared off because of broken bolt in starter.......(thanks previous person who worked on it...)
That is pretty much everything I have done since owning it. Previous owner said head gaskets done right before I bought it....
Have parts and plan on replacing in the next week or so:
head gasket kit and all the fixins.......wish me luck. Hope block is good..Never had overheat probs...
Front upper and lower ball joints..
front crank and oil pan gasket
ABS modulator with wiring repair for 3 amigos

Sorry for so long. Anyways glad to finally make an account and learns some more stuff..

Cheers,
Matt

Nice one mate, new here too... I got the same vehicle, live in Michigan with 140k on my disco 2.
was interested how you replaced the headliner on yours. Mine is sagging, I think I have a leak I need to repair but then I'll need to replace my headliner too.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

All the best,

Jordan

Michigan:

I just recently bought a 2004 Disco 2 SE 136k. Runs well enough to be my daily driver. Leaks oil but not enough to warrant a new engine yet. Next plan is 16" wheels & 31" tires in lieu of the stock 18"s. I'm also contemplating a vinyl wrap job on it shortly will try to post any progress or disasters...Headliner is also a wee bit saggy but not a top priority at this point. Sunroofs seem water tight but I did have some random opening issues so I pulled the fuse.
