New to the forums and already glad for the help
To everyone who has posted and spent countless hours online posting about or under the hood working on theirs disco's, THANK YOU! I tell you what, without this website and all the contained info these pages I would still be standing around trying to figure what is wrong with my truck(s).
That being said, I'm new to the forums but not new to Land Rovers. I've owned a 1999 Discovery Series II since about 1995, currently has 185K on it and its still running strong.
Last week I went out and bought myself another (still happy about it) Discover Series II, this time a 2000 with 119K miles on it.
The first one is pretty much completely stock, the second one has a good number of upgrades with more to come hopefully. I'm looking for guidance and have a lot of questions to answer so I am very happy to be a part of this community!

So just where is the flux capacitor.....
When you get back to the future, check out our tech section, download the RAVE set of shop manuals, and examine the front prop shaft of all D2s that you own for multiple grease fittings. Stock shaft will break with almost no warning and poke big hole in tranny. And check out an Ultra Gauge, won't work pre-GEMS D1s, but great on D2s. Can watch the heat keep on rising.

Savannah,
Thanks for the info, I've already downloaded all the manuals I could find on the site. Does the ultra guage also read error codes? I'd definitely buy one if so. The upgraded unit (Rover 2) already has an upgraded front driveshaft, the other one (Rover 1) has had it replaced with a used factory unit. Knowing what I know now I'll replace that one soon. Are the rear driveshafts in need of upgrading as well? How about if the vehicle is lifted, different shafts needed then? Thanks for the welcome!
