Default New guy

Hello, im new around here, certainly not my first enthusiast forum by any means. I am looking into the models of Landrover, especially the Discovery and the Range Rover. I would be looking to replace my current project/dd , a 1994 Ford Explorer XLT/ Limited, not especially soon but maybe within the year. I need a truck that can tow a lot of stuff, mainly my car trailer with any one of my other projects on it, and be able to fit much cargo also. (I have put engines and transmissions in the back of the Explorer, but I keep it pretty clean so youd never think so.) So, I have come to appreciate the beauty of the Land Rovers over time, especially after my recent test drive of a Freelander ( hawt ), and it seems that either a Discovery or a Range Rover would suit my purposes well. However, I have much to learn about these trucks and I'd appreciate any advice/heads up on common flaws/ quirks /problems in these models (i could ask if anyone wanted the Explorer for their LR, but this isnt Explorerforums.com, yanno... haha)

Welcome to the forum.. well the disco and rangie will be able to tow anything you put on the back, though the disco would be more suited for putting engines in the back..

Bought my first Rover! Got a good deal too I think. I get to pick it up tomorrow. Its a 94 Disco with 5 speed, black with tan leather, jump seats, etc. 110,000 miles. New clutch, windsheild, and head gasket. Hopefully I have some good luck with it.

I never did post.. did I?

Haha.. Oh well.

Situation would have it that my car/truck shopping at the time (particularly the incident I had with that dealership) completely had turned me off to the idea of owning a Disco.

However, as I am moving Pennsylvania over the next couple months, I will be considering the purchase of a Discovery once again!

Since the last time I was here, I became completely and utterly obsessed with Subarus, particularly the SVX touring coupe, and bought a couple. Still, these wont tow a car trailer, so I have started looking around once again.
