I joined this forum last year, posted 1 thread about me possibly buying a 5 speed Disco, and never came back. That is well, because I never bought the truck. Im considering a Land Rover Discovery once again, as I am moving to Pennsylvania, and I would like a decent 4wd thats classy so I dont have to bring out my Subaru SVXs in the winter. It will also be used peridically for towing Subarus on my car trailer.

 

Periodacly towing wont be too bad if it is not far, or up many hills. Get ne you will like it. Welcome back, you stivking around this time?

 

Thanks. The Disco has a tow rating of what is it... 5000 lbs in normal driving ?

I plan on sticking around this time, even if I dont buy one right away.

 

not too sure what it is but 5k will be rugh on a disco if your going far.

 

they are rated at 7700 lbs for a disco I. believe it or not. I towed a buddy's chevy 1500 with no problem, even up hills and on long distances, my gas mileage was the same as when im not towing too wich suprised me, the truck and all probaly weighed less than 5000 lbs prob around 4k but it did it well.
