Default New Guy

Let me first off by saying Hello everyone and I'm glad that this site exists.

I found the site through google and decided to join because my brother owns a 1997 Discovery and hopefully I'll own a 98 Disco aswell.

My name is Maximillian and I'm currently 21 years old. I work as a chef at local hotel/restaurant in the town of Manitowoc Wisconsin. I haven't driven many rovers, only my brother's disco. Although I've only driven one I instantly fell in love the ride and the look of the truck. His is somewhat of a beater but it runs like a champ, even though it's suffering from the headgasket issue that plagues all rovers.

I'm really not much of a novice when it comes to automobiles, I believe my 1991 Chevy S10 has taught me alot about what can go wrong and how to fix it. Also, my brother is a big gear head and seems his away around a VW/Audi pretty well. So I know the basics of replacing most things in an engine.

One more thing, I wanted some opinions on this paticular Discovery as I am moving to Florida in that exact city where the Discovery is being sold. My brother says it's a great deal, just wanted to see what you guys thought.

So welcome to the group.
As for the Disco, looks clean, good mileage for a 98, maybe a little pricey for a 98, might want to try and bump him down $500 or so if you can.
I like the white D1's, always a clean looking truck.
Let us know what happens.
Mike
