New Guy from Ft. Campbell, KY with 'Safari' Rigged Disco 2
stock 'Safari' snorkel, pioneer tool rack from M998 military HMMWV, the weird green box above the driver's seat came off a wrecked British Army scout motorcycle I scrounged during the Persian Gulf War, and I thought it very appropriate to attach to an olive green Land Rover since it was designed for the current British 'bullpup' rifle.
Brush guard, military tow cables and winch mounted in heavy steel bumper. Jurassic World license plate and mirror tag. Tiger, though plush fur, is inflatable and can collapse down into a 2' x 2' box.
Three 10 liter jerry cans mounted on lockable military gear box.
Hello everyone. I always wanted to own a Land Rover, and about nine years ago when I saw an olive green 2000 Disco 2 in great looking shape for 3K (and a few hundred less for cash), I couldn't resist and its been a great truck for all these years since with very few problems. With the odometer almost turning 200,000 miles, I imagine I am living on 'borrowed time' and it won't be long before I experience some major problems., so for the , do I have been meaning to join the forum for years, to learn more about my vehicle and meet others who have them. The sooner I join the forum to learn more about these unique vehicles and how to care for and fix them from far more experienced owners, the better. One of my other vehicles is a 1995 YJ Wrangler restored to a screen accurate Jurassic Park Jeep. In the second Jurassic Park film, the INGEN corporation had a fleet of Olive Green off-road vehicles on their dino capturing expedition, so I decided to stencil their same logo on my already green Land Rover, and add a winch, heavy duty front and rear bumpers, brush guard, stowage rack, off-road jerry cans, and even a trauma board. I am also in the Civil Air Patrol so keep the vehicle packed with gear and ready for any emergency. I recently replaced the old headlights with the more modern seen on late model Discos, and when Jurassic World came out people began making replicas of the long narrow euro type license plates. On sunny days, I sometimes put a full size, realistic looking fake tiger on the roof. But with the tiger or without, I receive compliments on my From virtually every day I drive it!
