So I picked up an older LR Discovery ('96) the other day - she's a nice vehicle, looking forward to getting to know her, came here to find maintenance tips, tricks and information. I'm used to working on motorcycles (do the vast majority of the work on my bikes myself, only bring in someone else for those few things I either don't have the tools or knowledge for), have worked on 4 wheeled vehicles in the past but it's been a few years, so figured I could use some help to make sure I don't overlook anything! Thankfully one of the engineers where I work is VERY into LR, so I have a resource there if I need it, which is awesome.

 

Welcome, the shop manual set is a free download called the RAVE. Put in a 180F thermostat, and use an OBDII scanner to see real temps, the gauge is a long way from accurate.
