Default New LandRover Disco2 Owner == WoooHooo ==

Hey Everyone Looking forward to getting to know everyone on here. I'm 39 and just bought myself a truck that I've wanted since I was 16, A Land Rover Discovery 2 I've always wanted one but always found myself buying something exotic or super hi performance but I just spur of the moment decided its time to have a project truck and this one fit the bill. I've been researching 2002-2004 models and for examples with 110-130k miles in nice condition but pretty much tricked out I was looking at like 9-14k. Anyways I was lucky enough to find a one owner car, Florida owned and Driven, never been off-road with 80k miles. Picked it up for 5k, No accidents on carfax and every service record from land rover on carfax as well. The headliner was just replaced, tires just replaced, and 90k mile service just performed. Anyways its coming tomorrow finally via Fedex Courier so I'm counting down the minutes. Unfortunately the moron who sold it to me signed his name on the wrong side of the title so they refuse to sign it over to me, hence no in transit or plates ARGHHHH.. Luckily in Florida they can do on the spot titles so hopefully he gets a new one tomorrow and overnights it to me so i can get the plates on Saturday. I have so many SOOOO many questions that its CRAZY...

Well a little about me, I'm into IT, I actually build and manage datacenters for a living. I also work heavily on the electronics of cars, started out circumventing security on Mercedes, BMW, Vag Group and Rovers. One of the reasons they call me Dr Dash LOL.. I also MFG the best EU Clones, basically any dealer diagnostic tool we clone and sell for people like ourselves who are a bit more technical than the avg Joe. Like I said only the best, not any of this chinese seller junk

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!!

Thanks
Frankie

define: 'exotic'

and what does 'started out circumventing security'? actually mean? Grand Theft Auto? lol..

jk... I'm a joker.

now if someone could just answer my thread about corrosion I'd have a starting point..

Exotic : I've owned Ferrari's Lambo's Aston Martin's etc..

Circumvent Security : I've written programs/scripts in regards to make sure that the odometer is actual... Also things like bypassing video in motion/lifetime map codes/taking dealer sw and enabling offline programming, etc.

For instance, when your buying any land/range rover your looking at a carfax or odometer reading, I'm looking at the ATCM module, and not just the MAIN KM's that is recorded and can be changed with some technical knowledge, but km's and time for each of the modes.. Like Below

Thanks
Frankie
